Résumé

You'll find tidbits of my life here: Hastily taken travel photos, grainy clips of music, sketches and diagrams of my ideas. Welcome! Have a look around.

I was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, but have spent the last 7 years in the Bay Area, CA, and Seattle, WA.

To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.

PROJECT DELIVERY MANAGER
Real Estate and Facilities
CBRE Integrator @ Microsoft

Redmond, WA
Since June 2014

Construction Project Manager in Real Estate and Facilities Department at Microsoft. Work in the Integrator Team, which acts as a owner's rep liaison between the project delivery teams and the client.

As part of my everyday duties, I drive execution end-to-end of site redevelopment and large tenant improvement projects including need-finding, planning, design, construction, occupancy and closeout/handoff. Design decision making involves interfacing directly with clients, stakeholders, and end users to define project requirements, balancing client needs, design expression, cost constraints (Cap Ex and Op Ex) and adherence to city codes and design guidelines.

Additional scopes include preparing budgets and scopes of work, prioritizing project scopes, monitoring project cost & work plan changes, tracking milestones and adherence to schedule, conducting budget reviews, reviewing quality of team output, implementing quality controls, identifying and mitigating potential risks, conducting regular data analysis, and reporting through the typical cycle of business. I conduct, issue, and evaluate formal Requests for Proposal, lead and forge productive partnerships with a cross-functional team of internal and external partners, including designers, engineers, and contractors.

As a side project:

Pitched, initiated, built, and beta-tested a major product enhancement to the project financial template in Excel VBA with multiple new features; changes will confer roughly 100 hours in time savings per year across the team. This template is used about 1000 times every year and is used on scales of projects ranging from $10,000 to $10 MM.
